boring it out?
Hey guys...
I've been looking around online and searched through here and stuff, and not really come up with any of the answers I'm looking for.
I'm thinking about boring & resleeving to 84mm
I honestly don't know much about it, becuase i can't find shit for info on it.
If anyone has any resources regarding:
Costs of parts/labor
Prep work
What else should be done
etc
please let me know! Thanks!

I would ask Westcoaststyle about his AEBS sleeves and how much he paid for those. Sounds like a good idea if you have the money and plan on boost down the road.
Those pistons on ebay look like crap. I would go for some wiesco or je pistons with eagle h rods for a pretty bulletproof motor.

if you want to boost, you can go to 84mm. if you want to stay NA, you can do 85mm.

Yes. It leaves less room to bore later, which means if you scratch up your sleeves or something you might end up needing to resleeve.

which is why i'm gonna go 84... cuz I wanna boost later on, and I figure if I bore first, i'll save money in tuning once I'm boosting.
I saw a 84.5 boosting 20psi with race gas, pushing 515whp...
but even that .5 would scare me..

You only need to re-bore if they mess up boring it the 1st time, correct?
because bore = making the wholes in the block bigger.
then you put sleeves inside of that.
then you put pistons inside of that, correct?
I'm at work right now, so I can't check alllll of this out too thoroughly at the moment, but I wanted to at least thank everyone who's dropped input in my face so far! Highly appreciated as usual.

Your bore is the interior diameter of your sleeves. When an engine is overbored, that means you are enlarging the volume of your cylinders.
If your sleeves are scratched badly enough that it can't be fixed during honing, you bore out the block enough to eliminate that scratch and then use slightly oversized pistons, rings, etc.

have you considered stroking instead? Crower offers a range of honda solutions that will increase your displacement
