Please help me lower my 60' time :(
So I went to a nearby dragstrip tonight with some friends and I dont think I have ever been more discouraged toward my driving and cars in general. I was told that my 60 foot times were killing me and that they sucked.
Here was the run with my best 1/4 time, and I know it sux and Im pretty discouraged so if you could flame me in ure head instead of on this thread it would be appreciated.
60........2.504
330......6.813
1/8......10.293
mph......70.41
1000.....13.28
1/4........15.808
mph........86.71
My car: 97 gsr, aem cai, greddy evo. Bf goodrich g-force T/a @ 20psi.
85 deg outside and real humid.
I ran 4 times and my best 60' time was 2.448 which Im told is horrible. The first launch had some chirp and mild wheel spin, the 2nd(2.586) launch there was no noise and I think the engine bogged down a lil, the third launch(2.504) had a little chirp slightly after take-off, and the 4th(2.524) had no noise. I don't understand how all my 60' times could be so bad when I had a variety of different launches. What I am asking you guys is if you can give me advice and knowlege on getting a good 60' time. This would be greatly appreciated and could also get me off thinking of selling my car and going to live in the woods with the animals where such dissapointment isnt known. j/k....
Anything would help

They aren't drag radials, they are street tires. For the first launch, I think I was at 4,000 rpms, the second was I belive 4500, and the last 2 were 5800-6300 about. I have ground control coilovers and kyb agx's. Im not exactly sure how much Im lowered, about 2 inches probably. The reaction times I felt were irrelevant since the clock didnt start at the green light, it started when your tires passed the gate. But if it means anything to you, my r/t's were anywhere from around .298 and a lil higher. Thanks for the input, more is very welcome.

I dont get it, you should be at 2.2 or so. For a better 60 ft other than driver error, adjustable rear struts, solid engine mounts, chassis stiffening, traction bar and a clutch/flywheel will help.
If your car isnt "bouncing" going in and out of grip violently, and your wheels arent spinning (no squel) then I dont have a clue. Even when I was in the 15+ my 60 has always been 2.2, problem is I still am and I should be at a 1.9
