Default idle drops too low when car is warm

Just like the title says. My '94 GSR idles high when cold (1500 rpm or so), then drops to 900-1000 rpm when its slightly warmed up but when I am in traffic and its hot or the car has been running for a while, my idle drops to like 200 rpm. I don't know how it even continues to run at this speed. What's the deal?

Firstly, clean out your IACV.

If that doesn't improve anything, adjust your idle adjusting screw and check your fuel injectors.

At least, that is what it tells me in the factory service manual.

Well, no. I prefer a smoothly running car, so I would do it if I were you.

If it isn't taken care of, the problem will get worse and you will end up stalling everytime you come to a stoplight. It may even create new problems, so I strongly recommend that it is fixed; not because of neccesity, but because of the annoyance factor.

I've already taken off the IACV and cleaned it once since I got the car (about 6 months ago). I guess I could mess with it again...

Are you sure you aren't misreading it? You should be idling at 700 +- 50rpms.

That's a little bit lower than the proper idle speed...It's barely idling enough to keep the car running.
