Default coilovers r good or bad?

i have a 1996 4dr acura integra LS, i was wondering if getting coilovers off ebay for like 50$ is a good deal or not, i dont have much cash and was wondering if they would make tha handling better, are tha springs better? or do they make my ride scrape because there not tough enough? n e suggestions are helpful

Don't get the $50 ones. A good set of coilovers will cost around $700, so you know that the ebay stuff you are looking at is shit.

Springs are your best bet. Pick a quality spring for your desired height and go with it. Keep in mind that you also need to get some camber kits and an alignment afterwards unless you want to go through tires really quickly.

They will suffice, but they won't last as long since they aren't made for the extra stress a lower ride height and higher spring rate puts on them. KYB GR-2 struts are an affordable upgrade from stock struts when the stock ones blow out.

considering changing suspension is a time consuming process, i would wait untill you have the money to buy springs/struts, so you can swap them at once and save yourself some trouble.

If u are planning on lowering the car it will definitly help with the handle but the ride might be a little ruff until u buy some after market shock to help smothin it out. And be careful what kind of springs u get I have a buddy that bought some coilover and in about 3 to 4 months the treads were already stipped alowing him not to be able to adjust them any long. Then not to long ago the completely went out on him. I would say i probably is not a good idea to buy coilover for that much, good luck.
