Default CVjoint 95GSR

I'm getting some clunking from my 95 GSR, 149k, from the CV joints. I'm curious what route other owners went. Auto zone has reman joints/axle at $50-$60 per side. The joints themselves are $14 new.Should I put on new joints or just replace the whole thing? How hard are these to get off?

It is much easier to just replace the axle as an assembly. You are going to have to remove the axle either way, so why not make it easier on yourself and just throw a new axle in.

That price seems a bit low, though. :eh:

I'd do the axle, plus the autozone axles have a lifetime warranty.

If you have a CV boot clamp tool and a few bucks for a rebuild kit, do it yourself. Otherwise, buy a pre-rebuilt axle from autozone or the like.
