Default need engine help bad

Okay i have a built 2001 gs it has:

Cold air intake
crower cams stage 1
aem cam gears
header
je pistons 10.5 to 1
bored out .30 over stock
jet performance computer
Stock valves and valve springs
stock rods and crank

I am wondering if the higher compression will cause major valve chatter around 20 to 40 mph or could the computer that Jet programmed be advancing the timing causing the chatter.. Do i need vavle spring and retainers? I need help

thanks

Get rid of the computer if it is just some cheap non-programable/non-tuned thing, just run the OEM ECU or get an APEX-i SAFC. Adjust your valves.

definitely get something programmable. if you're valves are making that kind of noise they need to be adjusted. you will only need the springs/retainers if you plan to take it above the stock rev limit. which i recommend you do not.

Valve chatter is purely mechanical. If you're keeping it at the stock redline, you have a serious problem. Adjust the valves and troubleshoot after that.
