Default Vtec head on auto integra?

Would any vtec heads fit/function on an AT integra?
I know the b18 head would not, because there are no auto gsr's, but are any of the other heads?

There was an auto GSR in Japan...although it is very rare. So yes it can be done.

Is there even a difference between the head on a manual and one off an automatic. I dont think the tranny makes a difference.

You can fit a VTEC head to a non-VTEC block. Search for "LS/VTEC" and you'll get the relevant info.

The problem will be controlling the VTEC activation. Unless you find one of the JDM auto-trans "GSR" ECUs, you will have to use an aftermarket VTEC controller to operate the VTEC solenoid. Apexi's V-AFC would be one example of how to do it.

And we've had hundreds of threads on the topic of V-AFC programming.

Since the LS-VTEC question has been asked trillions of times, I'm closing this thread.
