im thinking of dropping my car with the H&R Sport springs (1.75/1.5 front/rear)

now the question is, what shocks should i get ?

i was thinking koni ?

did a little research and found that koni yellows will make it even lower than 1.75/1.5 ?? if so, by how much ? also, at what dampening setting should the yellows be on to be able to correctly handle the springs without damaging the shocks ?

what about the koni reds ? i don't know too much about those, so edumacate me

how bout the agx's ? will those make the car even lower ? dunno much about those neither

i want to keep it right around 1.75/1.5, don't want to go TOO low ya know

also, any camber kit needed ? or would a toe alignment will do for the front ? what about the back ? i'v heard of adding washers ?

i have HR sports running with kyb agx. Shocks wont make your car lower. the agx's are great to ride on.

and yes a camber kit will be needed as well as a toe alignment. when i went in, my camber spects were at -2.0 and -1.98 in fronts and around -1.7's in the rears. People say these specs are alright but if you dont want to destroy your tires, a kit is recommended. These specs are good if you are going to the track and race your car but not for daily driving.

I have H&R Sport Springs and KYB AGX shocks on my 97 Integra. Not sure about anyone else but my drop ended up being 2" up front and 1.75" in the back. You will most definitely need a front camber kit. I listened to everyone say you can get by without one but unless you like shredding tires, buy it anyway. I have to do the install twice because of that.

Here's a pic of the result with 17's. All in all I love the combo of the two. No complaints.

what camber kit did you use for the front ? how about the back ?

i'm gonna go with 16s instead of 17s though

I recommend an Ominpower front camber kit with Ingalls in the back.

I'm not entirely sure about the camber kit. I think it's ingalls, I dopped it 4 years ago. No camber kit in the back, it's a tad off but the tires have not worn so it's not a major issue. It's only something I notice.

I did replace the upper shock bushings once since the started to wear and squeak. I love the setup, you get what you pay for.

I have Neuspeed sport springs with no camber kit. My tires are a whopping seven months old with hardly any wear.

That drop looks more like a "race" drop then a "sport" drop.

I have a few friends who have the same H&R/KYB setup and none of our cars have the same drop. It's just like buying exhaust, you pray you like the outcome.

I have the H&R/KYB combo as well, with a skunk2 front camber kit. After it settled, I'd say it's almost 2" front and 1.75" rear as stated above. You don't need a camber kit for the rear...if it's that bad, just use the washer trick and save some money.

I have HR Sports on the stock springs...I have ridden in a Teg with HR Sports with KYB AGXs and I really liked it. A front camber kit is a must.
