gsr swap...how much is this motor worth...
ok my cousin has a 98 gs and he wants to swap gsr...his good friend offered $500-600 for his gs motor and will also do the swap...the motor has 107xxx miles he's kept the engine clean...how much would you guys say the engine is worth with that kind of miliage...and when he swaps the engine is it safe to just get the gsr motor and ecu...or should he get the whole engine swap...he wants to just get the gsr motor with ecu and use his gs tranny...anything advice would be great...thanks

That motor, albiet also installed in a GS Integra is commonly referred to as an "LS motor". It's a B18B1, 140hp DOHC non-VTEC.
Anyways, he won't be able to rev to 8k on an LS transmission

Sounds like a good price to me since it has a good amount of mileage and he will do the GSR swap for you.
He can use the LS tranny but the gears are a little long and acceleration will suffer unless he goes with a shorter geared GSR tranny. But it is still very possible. He also needs to get a P72 ecu to replace the LS ECU in there now.
