Default What's the difference in the H22A's?

I keep reading threads that talk about "H22A" or "A4". I even read over an "H22A7". Why are there three kinds? I have an integra gsr (B18C1) and am aware that the b18s also have the C5:the Type R. Is the H22 thing similar? (Just a big increase in horsepower?) Also, whats the difference between JDM and USDM, aside from where they're manufactured. Is wheel horsepower the same?

Wheel hp tends to be the same with the H22A4, H22A1, and H22A. The H22A7 is in the Accord Euro-R, which is basically the same as the H22 type-S engine, thought I don't know the engine code for that, they both have 220 flywheel hp as far as I have read.

Here's a list, these lists are all over the net, along with dyno sheets, and everything you can think of. As you can see, the usdm engine's have about 200, while the jdm ones have 20 more. I'm not too sure of anything that's more than insignificant difference wise between them.

not to take away from this site, you can find it here, too, but this is a convenient list! enjoy!

H22a1 comes from the 4th generation vtec preludes, Closed deck
H22a4 comes from the 5th generation vtec preludes, Open deck
JDM H22 type s is open deck with higher compression pistons.

That's it.
