Default Fly wheel cover during clutch/ transaxle removal ???

Is is necessary to remove the fly wheel cover when pulling the transaxle.
Also is there trick in separating transaxle from engine --mine seems to be move difficult than I thought it woul be. Is it because I'm not removing the fly wheel cover bolts?

Help!! Everything apart and waitng for answer.

Thanks

get a small pry bar (like the $4 nail pullers at home depot) and seperate it enough to get a large one in. If the large one has a long handle, push hard, if not hit it with a hammer a few times. I'ts really not that hard once you figure it out.
