I was wondering if anybody has the aem v2 intake in their 4th gen vtec or non vtec and if you do did it help as much as aem advertises it to?

all hype... ebay intakes perform the same, cost much less. Almost all aftermarket performance parts companies cheat on their dynos. Either they use a car that has been heavily modified to begin with, that needs the increased intake volume, or they pick the lowest baseline run, and compare it to the highest modified run.
There are several other ways they can make it seem as if their product adds HP, they can make the baseline run on a heatsoaked manifold, or do the baseline on a really hot day, then return to the dyno when the manifold has been cooled, or when its cool outside. By doing these things alone, you can easily "gain" that 5-10whp...
Kind of like how amplifier manufacturers sell their products rated at 1000watt peak, they can probably make that output for a split second in a freezer, but the results probably cant be duplicated when you get it home.
