Rip: That rule is there not for our (admin/moderator) benefit, but for those looking to buy a car. It's a lot easier to search when the title line includes the location of the car.

If you do not follow the rules, the thread will be closed down. It's really quite simple to add a few letters no?

as you can see i joined this site yesterday so im sorry im not 100% familiar with the rules..you could have simply asked me 2 add the location and i wouldve...2nd of all look below my user name does it not say "upstate ny" and in one of my replies i said "newburgh area"

1. The rules are located on the top of the forum, with obvious names like "Sticky: ** Please Note the State of Where Vehicle is Being Sold in the TITLE " and " Sticky: *** Must Read: Vehicle Classifieds Guidelines ". It doesn't matter when you join the site, the rules are there and available for you to read before clicking on the New Thread button.

2. When people scroll through the thread list, they can find the location of the vehicle WITHOUT clicking on every single link. It's a LOT easier for them that way.

3. Location under your name isn't included in the search, otherwise every single thread with any poster living in NY would be returned.
