Belt Help Please
I had the timing belt, tentsioner, balance belt, and water pump done a couple days ago and now there is this squealing noise coming from the timing belt area. (Sounds like two hard rubber pulleys rubbing against each other) I took it back to the mechanic and he said its normal and that the car has the auto tensioner and it will adjust itself. It only makes this noise when its warmed up and I can only hear it at idle. Another thing is that the car make a klak klak klak noise while its idleing (sounds like a disel but quieter,Ive heard it on other DOHC motors, what is that?/) It also make a noise that I can only compare to a supercharger and I can only hear it past 3k.
Thanks
****UPDATE****
I went back to the mechanic and he agreed that the timing belit might be too tight, He went in with the microphone and heard the belt squeaking at the top of the cam gears and and not at the bottom so he said that theres no way it could be the balace belt. Now how can the t-belt be too tight with the auto tensioner?/ He used all honda parts. He said that there does not seem like theres too much he can do but he agreed to take the car in on monday and take the shield off and take a look in there to see whats making the belt be too tight. Is the auto tenshioner gonna let up on itself?/ Is it breaking in?/ Is it safe to drive?/
Thanks again.
Thanks
