Installing an SRI
Hi everyone, I'm new here and have had an Integra (Gen III LS) for a few months now (and I've already crashed it drifting). A friend of mine owns a Type-R (or RSX, I forget which) and recently got a cold air intake, so he gave me his short ram for free (without instructions, box, etc.). I read the DIY tutorial (multiple times) and acquainted myself with it, so I set out to do my work. I took out the stock tubing and the whole airbox (housing the filter) and proceeded to install the intake. Since my engine bay had none or few of the cables, I just put it in, the rubber over the throttle body, etc. This did not fit, the filter on the intake was resting on top of the brake fluid container. What exactly am I doing wrong? The only instructions I could find are from the DIY here, and that doesn't seem to cover my car. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
The next post will have the pictures of the part and engine bay.

I looked around and my friend's car is most likely a Type-R (I can't tell for sure, though, so I may have to ask him), and I'm not sure how to get the dman intake to fit.
And what's so funny, me crashing from drifting, or me trying to drift a FWD car? :P

I'm not sure what year it is, and I think it may be a Type-R, but I could be wrong, I haven't seen his car or talked to him in the past couple of weeks.

The front looks like this picture, somewhat. The back lights look the same as both Type-Rs and RSXs.
Here is a picture that resembles his back lights, most everything on his car is modified, though.
These are both Type-Rs.

Yeah, I know that, I was just saying the back taillights were similar to both models. Any ideas on the intake though? Is there anything that needs to be moved out of the way, or is it a lost cause (since the filter is resting 3-5 in. to the left of where it should be)?
