yea there is a way to clean it. u can take a small pan, fill it up with about an inch or inch and a half of gasoline. the chemicals in gas make it thick enough to pull out dirt and debris but also good enough so it dries quickly, as long as ur filter isnt made of that cheap paper material and its a cloth material. then u take ur cone filter and dip it in the pool of gas. while u dip it, turn it, or rotate it so the other parts of the filter get dipped into the pool of gas. go through this process (rotating, dipping) for a few minutes so u get all the dirt. i know it sounds kind of crazy but it works. just put the filter out in the sun for 5 mins and itll be dry ready to use without any problems. u dont have to worry about a wet or damaged filter cus gas evaporates fast so it wont soak the filter for a long time. u can even tilt the pan or whatever u use to hold the gas and ull see the small particles of dirt from the filter all the way at the bottom of the pool of gasoline. i used a oild catch pan to hold the gas then i washed it, it works fine. just dont reuse the gas. its pretty cheap compared to a brand new filter, and it cleans pretty damn good.

I use Simple Green, soak it for a while, then rinse from the inside out.
Let dry, then spray down with K&N filter oil.
Same method I use on my motorcycle K&N...which is where I get the spray oil.

Yes, it can be used for everything. I clean my garage floor with it.

Other uses:
Use it as a hair restorer, contraceptive, femine hygene spray, and douche. Sometimes, just heat up a cup and sip it in front of the fireplace.
