The clutch master cylinder was just replaced on my 94 accord. Now the clutch seems to have no pressure at all the first inch or so I push it in. It gets firm after that and shifts fine, but I can't remember if I had this 'dead' inch before the cylinder started leaking and it got real soft. Do I still have air in there, or is this normal? Thanks.

still needs to be bleed even more...that softness you feel, is the air.

I have the same problem. I just replaced my clutch and the cylinder and I noticed 2 days ago that it has no pressure the first inch or two. When i drive the car it comes back to normal a little bit but still not the way it has to be. I will go to the mechanic on Friday and break his face. =)

Yeah, but going back to mechanics is just annoying...they are paid to get it right the first time. With the outrageous prices, they should damn well get it spot-on

I know, it's such a hassle. I know they overcharged me on labor too, I could have done the damn thing in half the time myself if I had my tools and stuff. What can you do.

Damnit!! Now my clutch is all the way in again. It only has pressure about the last inch or so to the floor, and won't go into gear when the engine is on. Could this be anything other than a leak in the master or slave cylinder? I'm going to have to take it back to the jerks who supposedly fixed it the first time and I don't want to pay them another cent. Man am I pissed.

Dam I turned on my car today and there is no pressure in the clutch pedal at all. It also doesnt go into the gear. If tommorow you will hear on the news that some mechanic got wacked than you know who did it. =)

Ah, the pleasures of having cable clutches...nothing to bleed, leak, and absolutely no pressure...just a nice metal cable
