Default 96 Accord brake pedal clicks

Anybody have this problem? I don't know if I've had it for a while and never noticed, but since I've been sitting in my car while warming it up, I've been hearing it...

When I press the brake pedal to shift out of "Park" my pedal makes a loud clicking noise. It only starts when I press the brake far enough for the brake lights to come on.

Any ideas what this might be? Do I need to be more descriptive?

Try to find the sound of the source under the dash, maybe just a fuse or relay or something making the clicking noise when the brake light turns on. Just a wild guess though, don't anyone flame on me now for it.

i think is normal. my 96accord does it too but only when u on park, it wont make the click noise while the car is moving and u step on the brake. the clicking noise is something u release so u can be allow to come out of park.

You're probably hearing the shift lock solenoid releasing the shift lever. When you press the brakes, the shift lock solenoid clicks to release the shifter button. This way honda can make sure that you're pressing on the brakes when you're shifting out of Park.
