how hard is it to put a 94-01 GSR cluster into my 00 civic? also, does it plug in just like my cluster now?

If you plan on selling the car later, tampering with the odoemeter could land you in jail for fraud. Have a certified odometer shop set it for you that way if there are any questions later down the road you will have the paperwork and proof to back you up.

I had mine done this way.

putting in a GSR cluster requires u to rewire some stuff and it doesn't even line up in the gauge pod very well. U can swap in the Si cluster and remove the whole center gauge speedometer and replace it with your ex speedometer. this retains your actual mileage. The gauge faces won't match though.

u shouldnt swap out the speedos, theyll be off
in fact tampering with the needles/gauges in anyway will make the calibration quite off

just keep track of the mileage. take pictures too. take a picture of your ex cluster as you take it out of the car. and of the si one when you put it in the car make sure the mileage is readable. that way if you do ever decide to sell it you can give actual mileage of the car. in the future all you would have to do is.. ex cluster mileage + (new si cluster mileage - old si cluster mileage) = true mileage.

how easy is it to tell if the odometer has been tampered with?
