Default Has anyone had their detachable cd deck in their car jacked?

just wondering if it happens. I just got one for that very reason and my apt this year won't be the safest one so hence the detachable deal. Thanks

They broke open my glove box to get the faceplate.

They also hit up 3 other cars that night in the parkinglot, so they new what they were doing.

People in my neighborhood would be hunted by paid mercenaries if they were to think about pulling something like that. (Remember what happened to Xander in the movie Triple X after he jacked the Corvette? That's what would happen...)

I haven't had anything jacked except for Honda symbols when I go to the mall. ****in' haters.

But if you were wondering, a couple of my friends have had their stuff jacked while in class in high school and at the mall too.

got my headunit stolen.... didnt have the backstrap installed. ALWAYS USE A BACK STRAP. the headunit cant be removed unless its unbolted from the rear. ALMOST ALL typical installers are too lazy to put one in.

w/ the back strap its harder to take out. but will also cause more damage. i see that if there gonan get it why not let them get it w/ less damge

Haha, mentioning strap just triggered a question in my mind...

Does anybody know if physically injuring a thief in this country is justified? If someone was jacking your stuff and was either shot him in the leg or you gave them a beat down isn't that physical assault and they can sue back for even more?

So what do you do when you find someone stealing your stuff? Sit and watch? Call the police? Or is it legal to do something about it?
