Default Header Question

I've searched the forum, but can't find good solid answers.
I'm planning on purchasing a DC header in the near future. Not sure if I'm gonna get ceramic or polished. Anyways:

1. Can I expect noticable gains considering the mods I already have?
2. Will the header produce a more aggressive sound under the hood in addition the the CAI?

Is there anything else I should know about headers?

Well since no one else has helped I'll offer what I know. (I'm actually going to get my header in next week, so I'll know for sure then.)

1) Since you have I/E the header is the worst bottleneck in your airflow right now (the cat shouldn't be that bad), so you should see pretty good gains. We all know it won't be HUGE, but in the high RPMs is where you should especially see it.
2) I've heard they do give a bit more sound, which I guess makes sense since that much more air will be flowing.

there will be more engine noise because the headers aren't as thick as them castiron manifolds, so ur engine will probably sound different at idle as well as all other rpms, and a slightly louder exhaust note.

Get stainless if you live where it snows or where it gets below 30 degrees in the winter, otherwise they'll be junk in a few years from the salt and the extreme cold then warm up will crack them.

Thanks guys.
I live in Southern Cali, where it is never cold
BTW if the headers aren't as thick as the cast iron, then how do they increase air flow?

your car will have a much stronger sound with the header. get the stainless header. IMO they look better. they may cost a few more bucks but they are more durable and look phat once the heat effects the color.
