I have a D16a SOHC VTEC that I am getting ready to turbo. The designation on the block is D16A, there is no number after the "A" meaning it is a Japanese engine designation since they did not use any alpha numeric designations after the number. The D16A VTEC came in the JDM 92-95 Si. It has 130 hp and 114 Lbs/ft. They do exsist and they are rare.

Default i have one too

I have one of those too. Just a D16A from Japan. It's almost the same as the z6, but I got the z6 valves to replace the valves it has, and they are the same length, but the angle on the valve where it seats is slightly different. I think that's why I'm having issues with it. I'm about to just get a z6 head so I can get this stupid thing working.

I recently bought a D16A SOHC VTEC and installed it last month. I put it in my 1991 civic 4dr, and ive been killing type r and gsr all day. I do have upgraded fuel system (fuel pump, injectors, rail, and regulator), ported n polished intake, 3" cold air intake, stage 2 clutch, leightened flywheel, full suspension package, and am running a chipped B16 ECU. To bad nevada found out it wasnt legal in the US and red flagged my car... but I dinoed at 228 hp and 185 tor at tires.
