Default k-swap with power steering?

i was flipping through a modified mag at the grocery store the other day and they had a tech article on swaping a k20/k24 into a civic or dc2. they said there was absolutely no room for the power steeering pump. But doesn't doesn't the SI use a seperate electric power steering pump and so could you put that wherever you wanted as long as you can run tubing to it?

I haven't looked at the Si system, but it's possible you need the Si rack to use the Si's electric pump. I really don't know though, it might be possible?
