Convincing my Dad...
Ok, here's the scenario. My dad has an '89 Saab Turbo now, and this summer, he wants to trade it in for a two seater. He told me he was going to decide on the 350z, Boxster, and S2000. Naturally, I'm all for the S2000.
Considering he's in his 50's, how can I convince him to get the S2000?

I would tell him to get the 350 personally........but thats just me. I would probably tell him its sporty and reliable..........remind him of honda's track record and have him go on a test drive. Thats honestly how I got suckered into buying one. I thought they looked pretty stylish for a convertible, and when I was looking at civics with my GF the sales guy convinced me to take the s2000 out for a spin. Tell him that since he doesn't seem like a real performance enthusiast it has more power than he'll need. Tell him he should be in a midlife crisis about now so this is the perfect time to get one

well, the Boxster is ugly, the slowest, and costs over $40k, which is probably too much. The 350Z Roadster is $2000 more than the S2000, and he has to have a convertible.
The 350Z has more power, but it's also heavier. The S2000 has a better power/weight ratio. So my only concern is the torque. They upped the torque last year, so it should be sufficient. The S2000 should be quicker around the corners, and all in all, more fun to drive.
The S2000 has a more conservative look, where the 350Z looks like some anime junk. The dashboard on the 350Z looks pretty funny.
I think he could be sold on a test drive.

Boxster is overpriced because of its porche name. Z is a nice car but it will cost you much more if you want a vert. I think the s2k is a sick car for the money. Its fast, corners like a dream, looks damn good, and its a convertible. s2k>350z>boxster

Relevance is irrelevant
The Honda website is a great thing. They tell all about the functionality and ergos, as can offer some pretty nice accessories. There is always honda reliability and resale value, plus the S2000 is a sweet sweet ride.
