Default d16y5 to d16y8 or y6

i've got a 97 civic hx , and it's not doing to good and so i wanna replaced , i wanna know how hard is to put a d16y8 motor on it , mine is the "vtec-e version , do i need to wire vtec or not , any other mods to be done ?

The Y8 swap is pretty straight-forward. The VTEC-E system uses the same wiring as the normal SOHC VTEC, so no need for new wires for that.
