Default When to replace water pump?

When is it time to replace the water pump? every 30, 45, or 60k miles?

you replcace waterpump when you do timing belt

It's a 90k service with the timing belt.

w/ timing belt @ 90K miles (and 180K, and so on) or when you notice your engine running hotter while idling, but its not because of low coolant or malfunctioning thermostat.

That's it, everytime the timing belt gets changed so should the water pump. They run hand in hand and it is cheaper labor wise.

Truth is that it may last just about forever but everyone replaces it when they do their timing belt because its about a $25 part and it takes about 20 minutes to do while you are doing the timing belt. However, to just replace a water pump alone you would still expend the same amount of labor because you have to remove the timing belt to do it.
