Default Daytime Running Lights Problem - Please help

Hi, I am new to this forum and wanted to see if someone can help me with a problem I am having with my 1990 Integra GS.

My daytime running lights stopped working couple months ago so I took it in a shop and they replaced the relay module (small black box) with another used one.

It was working fine for several weeks until I noticed the problem again. Now it works randomly off and on. When it doesn't work, the back (tail) lights are completely off and there is no way to turn them on at all. This is not good when I drive at night. However, I can still manually turn on my front headlights okay anytime though.

Would anyone know what is causing this problem and how to fix it. I like my car alot and have had it for over 15 years now. Currently over 280,000 KM (175,000 Miles) on it and it still drives great.

Thanks for your responses.

Well The best thing to do is go get a brand new relay and see what happends. That would be my first thing.

I agree. You must start with the relay

The best thing to do is get a wiring drawing & test that stuff. I believe there's a resistor pack along with the relay. So maybe that's flaky?
