converter question
ok I've been looking around for an OEM catalytic convreter for a '98 GSR. turns out they are really hard to find. as far as I can tell Car Sound (magnaflow) makes the only one. However there some other ones out there but they all stop at '95. Is there actually any change in the converter between '95 and '96, or is this just something they have to say cause they aren't supposed to sell em for '96+ cars? one reason I ask is that I found this manufacturer of OEM cats, and look at this picture... (it pulls up the same one for a '98 or a '95) You'll notice it has a little footnote on the Cat saying it only works on a 94-95.
Those numbers are the part numbers for the different components. So if the exhaust pieces on either side of the cat are interchangable how can the cat itself not be? Also I called this one shop that I found on the internet that said they carried a full Bosal line, and the dude there said his Bosal cataloge showed that Bosal does make a cat for a 98 GSR and it listed that part number (099-3281). So if anyone knows anything about compatability of different cats I would really appreciate some input.
the website for that company is: https://b2b.bosalnafta.com/products/did

'94 & '95 GSR cats have the O2 sensor in the inlet of the cat. Beginning in '96 the OBD-2 cars have to have another O2 sensor after the catalyst. I don't know if it's as simple as having a bung welded onto the outlet part of a '95 cat? Or maybe it has to be in the middle of the catalyst, so then you can't do it...

I know for a 99 they are about a grand new from Acura. Mine is OBD-2 and I know that is the main diffrence. On the 99 there is 2 O2 sensors in the cat. So as you can see changes are apparent. Good luck!!!
