94' LS Shifter / Syncro problems
I am having trouble on the 1/4 mile shifting from first to second
when i take it up to 7000rpm's and shift into second rapidly it does
a soft grind and than goes into gear, if i shift slightly slower it feels
like it has two steps to get into second but goes,
all the other gears do not have this problem.
my clutch is in good condition also.
any help please!
also we had a really hard rain lately and my alarm system all of a sudden
stopped responding and my amps went out, now my amps came back
but no alarm.
thanks

What is the point of even shifting at 7000 rpms?
If you shift to fast you grind synros, I can't even imagine at 7000 rpms.
I reckon the LS doesn't hardly make any power that high, so why bother.
Do your car a favor and treat it right? Or find yourself having to shell out money for transmission/engine work due to abuse.

I feel more peak power in the LS between 4500-5500 rpms. The redline is 6800, with hardly any power up top IMO. The B18 has a midrange powerband, and should not be reved that high unless you want to push a piston through a cylinder wall.
Taking that engine past redline from first to second gear is just retarded.
Peak power at 6800 nah, The LS head chokes itself at 6000 rpms.
