Default Racing Chips

I called around for any racing chips that fit a 2000 Honda Accord EX V6 Coupe. But I was told by one racing company that they could only reprogram the chip for peek performance.

Does anyone have a racing chip for their Honda?

The guy was going to charge $350. But my car would be out for 3 days.

Tell me any info pls!

yeah... if you get a chip at all it should be the very last mod you do.

it doesn't account for mods you put on after you install the chip

tooo all those who posted did any of you have a chip in your car or going by what others said?

I have a chip in my car right now and the difference is very noticable forget what you heard. my chip changed my A/F without need of a Apexi V-afc (even though i wanted one), moved my VTEC, removed my govern and moved my shift points (i have an auto) it was well worth the money.. i didnt mind the wait cuz i had a Jet ecu laying around at the time so i just plugged and played with the jet... wasnt as good as the other chip but a worth while mod none the less.. my mods at the time when i had the chip was CIA, Header and custom exhaust...... in other cars having a chip is 30-50whp in my car it wasnt that much of a gain 15-20 at most

You have a before and after dyno to prove that? That seems very optimistic.

Some cars respond better to chips than others, late model, NA cars don't gain much other than a placebo affect. Turbo engines can be chipped to gain power by raising boost, but often at the cost of reliability.

yeah 30-40 whp from a chip seems a little dramatic. like you said. i'd have to see the before and after dyno runs to believe that.

decibel_dj: was that assesment taken from your "seat of the pants" dyno?
