I think both are pretty safe you just got to make sure you put the jack stands where they go.

They are both safe unless you have some cheap ones. Don't risk your life to save a few bucks.

It doesn't matter if it's only a few degrees off horizontal. In more extreme cases, use jackstands. If you have a ski slope driveway, find a better place to work.

if you have a ski slope driveway, use the ramps.
At least if the car is uneven the ramps are better. in my opinon.

Ramps are good unless you plan on taking off the wheels...like working on the suspension. In that case, jack stands are better.

ramps are safer but kinda get in the way sometimes.

If you place the jackstands correctly, I don't see how ramps are better at all. Also, if you car is lowered any signifigant amount, ramps won't work. Your front bumper will hit the ramp way before your wheel does & it'll just push it accross the floor....

well some of us that were taught the proper way would say that ramps are a bit unsafe. i dunno about you guys but i couldnt use ramps with either of my cars. the darn things were simply too low. the correct and safest way is to use jacks. look for the plates on the bottom of the chasis. and i doubt anybody does this, but if you wanna be really safe, well use both. i honestly hate crawling under cars and it really isnt my thing. so i can understand sombody elses fear of goin under one.
