if you are willing to paint your wheel, you can. Just put some metal putty, sand, and paint. but i guess not many ppl with scratched rims are willing to paint their rims.

where can you get metal putty? will it work for aluminum?

I believe you can get it at most local auto shops or you can order it online.
I think Glazing & Spot Putty made by Bondo should work if you can't find putty that's specifically made for metal or aluminum.
