Default accord run 13's? WHAT ROUTE TO TAKE?? H22/F23???

hey


ok...i am getting ready to buy a new car, and i want an accord but i want it to be able to get into the 13's...here are my options...you pick whats best..


*KEEP IN MIND ALL OPTIONS WILL EVENTUALLY BE BUILT AND TURBO'D!!!

also keep in mind that i am doing all this with prelude trannies b/c i have heard if i want to get into the 13's the accords tranny will not hold up...is this true????


OPTION 1: 98 accord I4/5SPD w/ around 35K/miles, and swap H22/23 tranny...

OPTION 2: 98 accord I4/5SPD w/ very high miles, swap new F23 engine, and H22/H23 tranny...

OPTION 3: 98 accord I4/5SPD w/ very high miles, swap H22/23 engine and tranny.

other options if i dont want to do the accord...but not likely

OPTION 4: 240 SX, maybe SR20DET
OPTION 5: INTEGRA LS...PPPPPPSSSSSSSSSSSSSTTTTTTT.....

i know these cars are more likely to make faster cheaper...but i like the looks of the accord and the interior is so clean!

also here is a price key...
low milage accords with 35-45k/mi will prob run around $13-14k
high milage accord with 70K-above/mo will prob run $9-10k

also...how can do all this work for the 6th gen accord...does anyone know of anybody that has done turbo or h22a swap work on 6th gens????PLEASE LET ME KNOW...i need to decide what i am going to do to a car before i decide on what car to get..
PLEASE LET ME KNOW ANY ADDITIONAL INFO ABOUT H22a swaps and tranny swaps..it will be greatly appreciated! i have searched all types of boards and have found a little but not enough to say that its going to be easy and a worry free swap...let me know what yall think..thanx

Running 13's with the F23 will probably compromise durability. Your best bet, in my opinion, is to find a late model Accord with high miles and do a complete H22A engine and transmission swap.

uh..............most of those Accord setup are not likely to run in the 13, probably really really high 13 is the max (not the 240SX) i think 240Sx has better chance.

my shop did a car, 5th Gen F22B with T4 Turbo, port and polished heads, 3" custome pipe, CAI, Intake manifold, intercoolers, and almost everything u can think of, pushing abou 260HP and still not fast enough for the turbo. then we swap an H22A with its tranny, basically rebuild the whole thing, and it's pushing about 350, running in lows 13, rarely high 12s. Fastest Accord I've ever seen. 2 bad, i'm not the owner, it belongs to another employee in the shop.

with 6gen, u're not likely to get into the lows 13s, since the car is heavier.

why not go with a cheap-old-beatup Civic??? it's the cheapest setup I've heard so far.

oh yea.........240SX is sweet.........my choice for turbo.

oh yea, why not post a poll............it's a best way to see the results??

hehe... thats why i got the civic.... 13s N/A... getting a built b20/vtec soon

good luck getting a 6th gen into the 13s.... theyre big, heavy mofos. if you want a fast car, why dont u just buy one?

Go with Option 1. The build the motor up the best way you can and add the Comptech superchager. You may not get inot the 13s, but you might get close to it. If you try to get there, through in some NOS and that will get you there. ME, going F22B with complete rebuild and turboin my 5th gen. Kid I know is running 11's. Fast as hell.

rebuild F22 + turbo, running 11s??? damn.............dat's some pretty fast accord. got pic of engine bay??

If you got the cash do it! If you don't, do not bother will be too damn hard, the car weighs too damn much.
