How did you get the Navigation system to play a regular DVD? Does it do that automatically or did you need to modify it?

It was actually a convertor you need to buy from avelectronics.com, I had to buy the DVD player seperate.

You live in Ossising? How far is that from Malone, NY?

Can you go into more detail as to what was involved in the conversion?

I live in Ossining but never heard of Malone so I have no clue how close it is. Ossining is in Westchester County, about 25 miles north or NYC.

The convertor is actually plug and play....you basically take the output from the monitor to the convertor and then plug the convertor into the monitor....and power of course....pretty easy setup....
