Hi,
Is it just me, or you guys too? I have a 2001 accord and I replaced my brake pads last year along with the rotors too, and I don't drive more than 8000 per year. Now the front brakes are making noises again. Is there something with the 2001 Accord brakes or is it just me? how long does you guys brakes last?

Yeah it squeeks. Last year I had to replace the rotor too cuz they both got warped. no I don't drive agreesive, it's my wife's car.

Also the brakes feels week. It's like I have to brake alot to stop the car as if the car is too heavy or something? dunno?

same thing with my car, i almost have to push all the way down and my brake pads still have a centimeter on it. maybe its time to bleed the brake lines or something.

Accord brakes suck!....its known.
I believe the accord brakes are the same size as civics.

what type of replacement pads did you use? also you can get an anti-squeak gel that you put between the shims to prevent the squeaking.

I bought the ceremic type pads from Schucks (like $60 bucks). They said it's the best and noise free (my ass). So the pads only lasted ONE YEAR on this car. Now it's making squeaking sounds and needs to be replaced again!!!

I just changed the pads/rotors last year (July 2003). Keep in mind the car is a 2001, so it needed pads when the car is only 2 years old. Now only one year later it needs pads again !!! Is this normal for a Accord??? I've had my 1990 Integra for a LOONNGG time, and the brake pads seems to last forever.
