Radio Anti-Theft Code
I just changed my battery and now I need a radio code I typed in a random number and now it says error. Do you know if theres any way to reset that?
Also, is there anyone one out there that may work for Honda that can get me the code? The number I found on my glove compartment box is M98K516003, but since I bought this as a used car, it didnt come with the code.
I called the Honda dealership and they said they would have to charge me

Yeah, I PM'ed him a couple days ago, but he hasnt gotten a chance to read it yet. I was hoping someone else could help since my 2-hr back/forth commute everyday is getting pretty boring w/out radio. I guess I'll just have to wait for him, thanks for the replies though guys.

yeah, it's locked. Either unplug it, or unplug your car battery for a while.
Usually honda dealers will require proof that you own the radio/car before they'll give the code. They never charge though. One of my local dealers will even do it over the phone...when I called, they didn't ask for proof or anything.
Although the code is sometimes not in the system...one of my honda radios was like that...luckily someone wrote the code on the radio lol

When I got the 6 disc EX-V6 HU off ebay, I called my dealer, pretended to have lost my code (so they wouldnt think it was stolen...they don't do "I bought it off ebay"), and the service manager gave it to me for free.
I'll get it for you by tommorrow afternoon if you paypal me $10
I don't understand why you didnt just call the dealer in the first place. You don't even have to pretend, you really did lose the code. Being assertive doesnt hurt.
