There are no pins that need changed.. i took EVERYTHING from the integra & put it in my civic body. Motor / ECU / internal & external wiring harnesses. (EVERYTHING)

Did you check the resistance of the primary and secondary windings in the coil? The coil *could* be bad even still. I just went through a bugger of a time with a no-start problem that took me two full days with the car on stands to solve. Guess what? I had Fuel, Air, Spark and Timing and it still didn't turn over. It ended up being an open on the tach sensing wire from the ICM. Make sure you check the ICM and coil religiously.

Also make sure you check the center carbon button and the spring from the coil that contacts the cap. I think you's still get a spark in the second scenario but you definitely won't start the engine.

Please let us know how you make out...

Andrew.

thanks for the info neex.. i'll be checking over things again tonight. I was also givin a tip to check the crank sensor because it could possibly be bad & that would limit me from having spark.

My engine will turn over all day, it just won't spark. I've even replaced the ICM that tested good as well as my MSD distributor. I've put a stock distributor back on the engine so that it was using a stock coil (which tested good) also put a new cap & rotor on it. I just replaced the grounds that go from the chasie to the block with really nice ones.. just to see if that would help me out at all. I still get no spark.. this is extremly frustrating, i definatly appreciate all the help from everyone & i will keep you posted. thanks

Tony

Default What was the final outcome?

I have a civic ex 98 - stopped to get gas - turned engine off - when I tried to start the car it would not turn over - no spark as well - I am hoping it is just the coil.

Default same problem, different soution??

[quote=89CRXHF]OK Dude heres my problem, Im doing a B18A1 swap into my 89 HF everything is hooked up, turning over , but no spark. I have also went through the check list that you did, and still nothin. I am starting to think outside the box and suspistion is looking tward timing. I am looking at my cam gears and the arrows are pointing at eachother, but as I look closer it looks like my timing is off half a tooth or so, I know that this could cause the engine not to start, and I am thinking it would also make it not spark. if you know any where to get a B18A1 Vacuum Diagram let me know, I need this
