'02 alarm remote reprogramming
Yesterday I got a new remote and now the alarm will not arm. I have the factory alarm on my '02 Accord EX.
The doors lock when the Lock button is pressed, but the lights do not flash, and the secutiry light does not come on. I have checked the doors, and trunk and they are closed and locked.
Is this something that can happen wehn they reprogram a new remote? How do I fix it?

Does the remote look identical to the remote you had before. I had bought a third remote for my 99 Accord EX and for some reason it would lock and unlock the doors and the panic feature worked, but I couldn't get it to pop the trunk, but I reprogrammed this same remote on my 02 EX V6 and it controls everything perfectly. Also, check to see if it does the same symptoms when the hood is slightly opened.
