Default How many miles on an accord?

I have a 92 accord llx with 196K miles. How many is it good for if well maintained? How many are on other accords out there?

I've seen Accord with 400k miles running as good as new, I've seen Accords with 40k miles that are going to hell. Its all about taking care of your car, my brother's 93 Accord had close to 200k when he sold it and his Civic and Integra had over 200k when he sold them.

Almost 320k (130k-ish on the engine) and you'd never guess it. Mine has the "classic" rust, and some dings and whatnot but it's fine. The engine's more than fine. I'd say as long as you baby your engine, you're good until at least 250,000. Then I'd start thinking about a new engine.

well its not an accord but its a Honda.
My very first first car which was given to me by my brother was his 93 si. ( Civic HB )
I have on it a bit over 300k miles.

Still drives hard.( Sits in the garage right now next to my GTI ). She must feel left out.
If you keep on top of the maintenance on the car the car will take you where ever you need to go.

Matter of fact I plan on driving it to the Poconos this weekend.

I have about 212k on mine, and the engine runs just as strong if not stronger then when I bought the car with 178k on it 3 years ago. Like everyone else has said, keep the maintence up on it and it'll treat you just as good as you treat it.

If well treated the engine should last well into the 200K range. My dad had an '84 Prelude that had 200K when he sold it 6 years ago.

The F22 (and Honda 4-cylinders in general) are VERY long lasting and RELIABLE engines. I'd say with top drawer maintenance...it will outlast the rest of the car. Although not an Accord, I recently sold a 1st gen Integra with a just a few hundred miles short of 300,000 on original engine and 5-spd. transmission. Car ran like a raped ape and all power accesories still worked! I've 'only' got close to 130,000 on my 96 Accord, and I still take it on cross country trips without thinking twice. Check out the October 2002 edition of Motor Trend, an article about a 1994 Honda Accord with over a million miles on original engine/tranny.
