2004-05 S2000 Seats
I am looking to purchase a 2004-05 S2K and have been told by the dealership that they cannot change the interior color scheme at all. I would really like to have red seats over yellow exterior. Does anyone know a way around this or a place to get the OEM part for less than 2,300 per seat (this is what I have been told the seats go for at the dealership). Each year Honda appears to be changing what exterior color is matched up with the red interior, but we are 60 days out from the 05 specs.

Thats actually not true. Find a dealership that is willing to call the manufacturers, and have them make a "special order". Atleast thats what they said to me. I just bought a red 04 s2k, but before I decided to purchase I asked about getting a black one, and having the red/black interior inside. They made some calls, and said it could be done, but because it was going to be two tone, and custom that it would cost another 2g's onto the price. I decided not to get it. The red one is fine with the black interior. Either way it can be done, if your willing to pay the extra fees. Hope this helps.

Try www.Hondaautomotiveparts.com I was looking into getting Tan seats in my car, and they have the cheapest prices I have found. Other than that, you might be able to pick up a set at a junk yard, or maybe even have a shop reface them. Should be cheaper to reface them.

before you go too far into this foray have you seen a yellow S2k w/ Red seats? Some like it but personally (and lots agree w/ my opinion) it looks like Ronald McDonald got his dream car.
...I have heard that Jeff and the guys at Ganley Honda ( www.hardtopguy.com) have done a few interior swap arounds and they will sell you an S at a good price, might look them up.

Back when I was a Moderator in this forum (just rejoined today--Hi guys!!!), followed by a tenure as an original Mod. on www.s2ki.com, we used to talk about the red/yellow coloring scheme.
And sobama's theory is exactly the same. Too many people associate red and yellow with food. (Psychologists will say the same, and market research I'm sure is what made the big fast food companies pick those colors.)
It's a wild guess, not a fact, but that's probably why Honda doesn't offer that particular color combination.

I know this post is kinda old, but if you're still looking for a set of S2000 seats, I have a set for sale. They're a dark gray color. Just let me know my email is romanticpimp@hotmail.com
