Car mags have the S2k running 13.8, but that's hard to repeat without destroying your tranny. I'd say mid to low 14's is pretty good, depending on your rpms when launching.

You guys, well, to be nicely i would say that do not believe everything you hear or read. Motor Trend, a pretty safe source to believe, lol, quotes the s2000 at 14.4 with pro drivers in perfect conditions. Think about it?

I have gone drag racing 3 times total.
first time with '00 s2000 the best i got was 14.3XX @100.01 mph. i was only getting runs every hour, so i left after 4 runs... so I never really got the feel for it.
2nd time... it was 90F+ with a headwind.... '01 S2000 i ran (at the end of the day) 14.4's at about 97mph.... i got 10+ runs and got to play with my launch, etc...
Lastly--- 2 weeks ago at Maple Grove I ran 13.99 and 13.98 both at about 98mph.... it was still 75F or so and I hit the launch almost perfect on both (6700rpm roughly).
All of these were with stock tires and stock car. My tires have 11k miles on the rears, so i could probably improve on these times with some fresher rubber.
