insurance for s2000?
well, i have a 95 integra LS-SE and im considering selling it for a down payment on a 2000 s2k. problem is that im 19 and dont have the best driving record. its not horrible, but it could be better. i think i have 3 points. according to kbb, s2000s are selling for mid teens. my insurance as of right now is $222/mo for my integra. i'm kinda scared to look into how much it would be for an s2000, but i was wondering what you all pay. please post your age, points (if any), year of s2000, and of course your bill. thanks

it will be a big jump. Considering how much more a GSR is over an SE is and then how much more an S2000 is over a GSR you will get rapped. Bets thing to do is call your insurance agent and see what they say the price will be. It all depends on where you live, your record and how much they value tha car at. Hope that helps.
Oh and I have never seen an S2000 in the mid teens unless it was on EBAY.

thanks for the help bonzo. its all really just a pipe dream, but i thought i'd look into it.
kbb.com said a 2000 s2k with 60k on it in 'excellent condition' would go for around 16k. thats a private party value. i'd imagine most s2000s have a lot less mileage on them being as most are not daily drivers.

whats up bro? i dunno about insurance, probably expensive as hell, but i do know that one of the gray s2k's at work is going for 23 retail, and you, being an employee, you could probably get it for around 20 (give or take). if you sell ur car privately, then put that money, plus any that you have saved, toward the down payment, i dont think your payments would be too bad. BUT, then you'll probably be paying more for insurance than you would the car. anywayz.. just a thought. i'll talk to you later B.
