V6 in a 97 Civic EX?? Please read!!
I was wondering if anyone knew if I could fit a J32A2 or even better, a K24A engine in my 97 Civic EX. I hear people say all the time that you can do anything with the right amount of money, but how much would I be looking at if the engines even fit at all, cause I couldn't find any detailed specs on the 2 engines, like length, width, and so on. And basically I would like to swap a V6 into my car, preferrably DOHC, that's y I like the K24A that's gonna be in the new Accord VTi-L's! So if NE1 has any advice or better, or other choices of V6's, I'm open 2 all opinions!! Thanx 2 any1 and evry1 who replys!!

1) Swapping in a V6 would be a huge hassle, cost a lot of money, and require a ton of custom fabrication.
2) A K24A is a 2.4L 4 cyl engine out of the new Accord, TSX, and CRV.
3) The only Honda DOHC V6 I know of comes in the NSX. The cost on the engine alone is probably rediculous.

Oh, my bad, I must have either read summin wrong or was fed the wrong info., I was lookin for the site 2 send u 2 it, but I 4get what it was. NEwayz, I already checked into the NSX engine and it would cost way more than any other V6 as far as getting it in and working goes because it's mid-engine format or w/e. I dunno, I was reading about someone who put one in their civic hatchback and it sounded way too expensive. And not as impressive on the track as I thought it'd be. But there is a 3.0L i-VTEC V6 right? is it only SOHC?

Yo, but I wouldn't mind puttin that 3.0L i-VTEC in it, does NE1 know the engine code for it because I never came accross it!? And I also wouldn't mind puttin the J32A2 VTEC in it. Does anyone have an estimate of wat it would cost, just the instalation and refabing, not counting the engine itself? Is there any other better V6 options for me....if the NSX engine the only DOHC V6?

I figure the engine code for the 3.0L i-VTEC Accord will me K30 summin....Does anyone make twin turbo kits for any of the VTEC 6 cylinders besides the C-Series (since the only VTEC's in the C-Series is in the NSX)?

The V6 in the newest Accord's (7thG 03-Now) is the J30A4 (Or A6, I can't remember). It's a SOHC design and does not feature i-VTEC, only the original VTEC.
Anything else and you're looking at the C-series. But that's more early 90's Acura than it is anything late 90's Honda.

Yea, I was actually looking into a H22A or a K20A but I want a V6 cuz it'll hold speed better on hills and I live in WV and that's all there is....my gas mileage sux b/c all I do is go up and down damn hills!! So if NE1 has any V6 suggestions, let me know!!
