Default Busted shock mount?

Great, another problem. Just noticed the right side of my car is 0.3 inches or so lower then the left side. Not visibly noticable.

Do I need a new shock mount? My friend has the same problem with his 00' e46 and the mechanic diagnosted it to a broken shock mount.

0.3" is so slight...my car changes that much just based on the surface I'm parked on. Most surfaces aren't perfectly flat so you see some variations in the way the car sits. Is the suspension stock?

Schmiddy that over a 1/4 of an inch!

One thing is for sure, I don't see how in the world it could be a broken shock mount. Unlike Bimmer's, which use MacPherson struts up front, the Accord's upper and lower control arms hold the shock, which in turn holds the spring perches. A failure at any one point should result in a lot more then a slight side to side varience in fender gap.

that's a common problem with bmw's, especially on the 3 series.. e36 and e46.. inferior suspension design (i like dogging on bmw's since my friend constantly praises them). anyway, you don't have a shock mount. it's a top mount. shock mounts are strictly for seperate suspension types like the bmw's where they have seperate springs and shocks. the shocks are constantly being bent back and forth wearing them out so quick. i changed all of my friend's m3's with polyurethane top mounts.

the ride height difference between the left and right side is common.. it's a slight variance, but you don't need to worry about it.
