Default Prelude Vs Integra

Who would win in a 1/4 run and top speed run?

*Note: 2001 Honda Prelude Stock and a 2001 Acura Integra GS/GSR/TYPE R Stock.

My cousing was all raggin on me the other day cause he read somewhere that an integra would kill a prelude. Is this true?

According to Car and Driver (for what it is worth) here are the numbers for 2000 Prelude and 2000 Integra GS-R.

1/4 Mile:
2000 Acura Integra GS-R = 15.7 sec
2000 Honda Prelude = 15.4 sec

Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

A GSR and a Type-R should beat a Prelude, but there's always different factors so you'll never know until you run them.

I would agree that a type-r will beat a prelude in the quarter mile but saying that a GS-R is going to do it is a stretch. Both the type-r and the gs-r don't have very good torque numbers in comparison to the H22; however, the type-r does have the top end needed.

But the weight is a big factor. Preludes are very heavy compared to an Integra.

This could go on forever but most of the time it would come down to the driver. I don't think a type r would blow away a Prelude but it should win in a 1/4 mile race.

GS-R loses vs a H22 powered lude, Type R wins vs a H22 powered Lude, all else being constant. However, not everything else IS constant, therefore in a situation like that, its all driver, in a situation where the cars are 1-2 seconds apart on the 1/4, its all the driver baby.

a h22 prelude and integra gs-r are about the same in straight line performance depending on how strong each motor is and the driver consider a gs-r and a h22 lude even

I have never seen a Prelude beat an Integra.
