Default First day at track with my nitrous...

So I ran today for the first time at the track with my nitrous. I have a 90 Integra GS with I/H/E/clutch/flywheel/ngk wires and 1 degree colder plugs/ZEX 55 shot and NX bottle heater.

First run, which was my best, I go up against an RX7 turbo (mid 90's I'm guessing). I'm T34.

My best all-motor time before this was 15.420 @ 88.74 but today it was only a 15.8xx @ 84.xx. Everyone consistently ran 3-4 tenths slower and trapped about 4 mph lower due to a head wind. Which leads me to believe that this 14.4 today could have translated to a 14.0xx on another day.

Anyways, my goal is to get 13.9xxx @ 100.xxx after getting a Skunk2 Intake Manifold. With some BFG G-Force Drag Radials on there as well, I'd be cookin.

**Edit** You can't see the numbers in the timeslip too well so I'll write them.

T60

R/T .529
60 2.165
330 6.039
1/8 9.252

He's saying his nitrous took about a full second off his ET.

You think you were 4 mph and .4 seconds slower due to wind?

Yes. A 50 shot typically does this.

Yes, or it was one of the factors, probably combined with the high humidity/heat. All of my friends were running unusually bad, and out of 3 runs my best was a 15.8 @ 84.xx (which felt like a very good run) when usually it would be 15.4 @ 88.xx. My friend with a Civic usually runs 15 flats and his best all day, out of 10 or so runs, was only a 15.3. My friend with a Probe GT best was a 16 flat, and friend with a Celica GT was 16.1. Both of these should be running in the 15.6-15.7 range. I also heard some guys with real drag cars mention something about a bad head wind.

My post was in response to a post in front of mine (that is no longer there) which said, "Huh?".

I'm just running Dunlop SP Sport A2's, basically All Season Performance Tires. I usually run them on about 16-18 psi. If I could actually hook up in 1st gear, like with some Drag Radials, I should be pullin close to 2 flats.
I might pick up a pair of Azenis to use as street/track tires. If you have 14 inch wheels they're only 42 bucks each.

It's funny how the criticizers of "rice" and of all things like "fast and furious" are the ones who watch the movies and seemingly memorize the lines...

By the way, I don't have "nos". I have a ZEX kit.

And I think you meant to say "nitrous = teh gheyness". If you had said that, I wouldn't have automatically labeled you an idiot...just someone with an opinion that has no factual backing or personal experience behind it whatsoever.

I can't wait to go to the track this saturday and hit 13's You have fun with your "non ghey" Accord though, alright?

well you must also be, i guess, a BIG enough fan of the movie to recognize quotes.

be sure to post the slips on this thread, the ACTUAL slips of you hitting 13's, Brian Earl Spilner.
