I'd assume they'd fit fine, given the shape of the sheetmetal in the back did not change, just the tail lamps.

yes u could swap sedan bumpers w/ no problems but not really sure for the coupe since i dont own a coupe

Negative on the coupes. You cant swap sedan bumpers w/ coupes.
Coupes are a bit wider.

my question was actually can you swap a 00 coupe rear bumper for an 02 coupe rear bumper?

Yes, it can be swapped, but be sure you get all the V6 goodies. The 4cyl is missing the center trim panel found on the V6 cars, you are going to want this for it too look good. Honda calls this lower trim item the lower rear bumper spoiler.

But doesn't the V6'er have a spot also for two exhausts? I only have one wouldn't it look funny?

The V6 tends to frame in 2 exhaust better b/c of the lower rear spoiler.
However, with out you see an exposed lower clip section on the rear bumper that I think looks aweful.

Just paint your muffler black and install a polished OE tip and it will look good.

Personally I like the 00 bumper better, the 2001+ bumper has bulges that make the ass stick out and look funny.

Why don't you just order the 98+ rear lower skirt from Handaacc.com?

I actually think the 98-00 bumper looks more like bubble butt I like the ends of the 02 bumper because its stright instead of the inner look of the 98-00. Plus I just think it looks cleaner because of that little spoiler lip looking thing on them too.

both the 98-00 and the 01-02 bumpers look a hell of alot better than the 7th gen! IMO
