Default Brake setup I am going to purchase, opinions?

Alright, it's time to replace the brakes on my 4th gen accord, and I think I'm going to go ahead and upgrade the rotors and the pads at the same time. Here is what I have in mind:

Power Stop Slotted Rotors
AEM Pads

Keep in mind these have to fit inside a stock honda rim, so I cannot do the big brake upgrade yet. Anyone have experience with this setup? I am open to any opions or other options at this point.

Go with the Brembo Cross Drilled / Slotted.
I have those on my 6th Gen and they do stop shorter than OEM.

I stopped about 10 feet shorter than my friend did and we have the exact car.
He has OEM brakes I have Brembos. ( OEM size)

I have heard that the drilled rotors are proned to crack. My car is daily driven LOTS and I need something that is very reliable, but still has great stoping power.

yeah, go with just slotted. crossdrilled will crack over time. you will gett better performance out of the cross drilled and slotted, but you will have to replace them a lot sooner

why don't you just get brembo blank replacements, and a good set of pads. if your car is a daily driver the blanks will last you a lot longer. I've got the AEM pads and brembo blanks and I've got plenty of stopping power.

I have AEM pads on stock rotors and my brakes are still weak. I think I need new fluid and some steel lines.

I have stock OE rotors and Hawks HPS pads, way...better stopping power.
I'm totally loving the Hawk pads, if your OE rotors are in spec for good use still it's pointless to dump a perfectly good set of rotors.

My rotors havent cracked. I dont drive my car like its stolen so hopefully I'll avoid cracking the rotors ( Never heard that cross drilled rotors crack ).

The stopping power is so much better and the response time is even better.
You will not be dissapointed if you go with either cross drilled, slotted or cross drilled/slotted..

The install is very simple to do, you will DEFINITELY NEED an IMPACT Screwdriver.
DO NOT do the install without that tool or you will break the head off the screw.

If you do break it you will have alot of fun looking for a replacement. ( Dont do it on a sunday since the dealerships are closed ).
