Default Question On AEM Brake Pads

For a 93 Civic do you use oem shims with the AEM pads or do you need new shims?

i always re-use the shims.. but i also apply the 'disc quiet' to the rear pads since they're usually the ones that make the noise..

What do u do man? That seems a bit harsh. I drive the hell out of my car and after 36k of my dads driving and 20k of mine the breaks needed to be changed but they still had some life left. My driving included auto-x and many drives around back roads where I would actually loose my breaks due to overheating.

u went 10k on front pads WOW thats low. Do u have manual or auto. If auto I can kinda see how abusive driving would be hell on breaks but if thats on a manual then u need to learn how to downshift agressivly and break with ur engine.
