Default Check Engine Light

If anyone can give me some info on what could be causing this please help. I own a 94 Accord EX Coupe with close to a 180k miles on it. Today the Check engine light came on there is a fresh 4 qts of oil in my ride spark plugs are about 6 months old. She seems to be running fine. If anyone has any suggestions please respond. Thanks for your time.

:lmfao: The man's got a point,

a check engine light is one of many things that have triggered the computer and really no one can give you an idea as to what it is until you pull the code.

One really common thing is when people fill up gas, they don't tighten the gas cap completely, and it triggers the low fuel vapor pressure indicator and lights up the Check Engine light. Tightening up the gas cap, and resetting the ECU (usually you can pull a fuse for about 15 minutes and put it back in), will solve the problem.

You may also want to take a local drive to your autoparts store, usually they have handheld scanners that can retrieve codes for ya, and for free...
